So, this sunday, I invite you to chill out with the 1988’s “Real Rock Riddim”, produced by Stone Love Records, featuring: Little John, Flourgon, Daddy Lizard, Michael Rutherford and Clement Irie. During the past decades, the “Real Rock Riddim” has been among the most remade riddims like the, or More recently, it has been remade by and. And the combination of it all is paced by a high-pitched syncopated organ lick. The 1988 Stone Love‘s cut is far less complex yet you can tell it is the “Real Rock”. Even though the trademark trumpet lead and organ lick are missing, the distinctive bass line lies there.
